Around 50 activists rallied outside the Federal Energy Regulatory Commissions [FERC] building in Washington DC, Thursday, to disrupt their monthly public meeting to protest against fracking and fossil fuels. The anti-fossil fuel and anti-fracking activists from 'Beyond Extreme Energy' were denied access to the meeting without explanation from the Department for Homeland Security nor the public relations officer of FERC. After being denied entry, several activists spoke to the crowd, which later on staged a sit in in front of the entrance to the building. The two hour long protest remained peaceful.
